Only just started to use this practice having just moved into the area both our cats needed dental work which required putting under. Lennon and the team were extremely good with the cats, treatment was considerate and never rushed and the follow up great . My wife was as relieved with the treatment as the cats.
Excellent Service - All members of staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Looks and smells lovely and clean. Got our 11 tortoises micro chipped here. Not your usual Vet, very unique. By far the best Vet we've been to.
I recently visited Amity with my cat Angus and I was impressed with how they dealt with his extremely difficult behaviour. He is a cat with a big attitude and always refuses to co-operate. But, without too much difficulty Lennon and Lorraine were able to administer his treatment without trauma, despite his best efforts to avoid it!He is now recovering nicely - Thank you both very much x
My first encounter with Amity was on my saddest day at the end of my fourteen and a half year journey with my wonderful Border Collie Floyd. My current vet was 'too busy' to help me with the day I'd been dreading, but fortunately for me they gave me the contact number for Amity.Lennon and Lorraine were both wonderful and made a heart breaking decision so much easier than I thought it would be. I was able to send my wonderful companion peacefully on his way from the comfort of our home. The caring and compassionate efficiency which they both brought to the situation enabled me to focus totally on Floyd and what he needed. The communication after the event reassured me that the Amity team really did understand that this was a very sad event for me.I have no hesitation in recommending them and will continue to visit them with my daughters animals.A very heartfelt thank you for your kindness x
If Carlsberg did...Vets! This place is SOMETHING ELSE! For the past 50years I have been taking various pets to numerous veterinary practices in this area, and in my opinion Amity outshines them all. You need to visit the place and be shown around to appreciate how much effort has been put into ensuring that your pet has the most calming and enjoyable visit. In the past I had always needed to con my dog that any particular walk (hates cars) would end in a visit to the vet. Sometimes it would be the end of the street and others at the entrance before he would slump to the ground and refuse to go any further. At Amity, not only does he walk straight in and sit on the scales without prompting, but on one occasion he didn't want to leave! Being mindful of costs I appreciate options being discussed before treatment. Lennon made me aware that my dog had been given a more expensive vaccination by a national veterinary service - suitable for European travel. This had been done without my knowledge (my dog is never leaving this country; I struggle to get him to the beach!) for I was deceived into believing that it was a necessary upgrade.I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I'm confident that I've made the right choice for the health and welfare of my companion, and would urge you to do the same.
High praise indeed! Thank you so much for such a lovely review - we do our best! Lorraine
Recently took our golden retriever called Poppy to be spayed using keyhole surgery amity vets are simply the best would not take my two dogs anywhere else the op is the only way to go no stress for you or your pet
This is one of the best vets around, our dog Poppy has received second to none treatment, with friendly staff, and a new approach to interior of what a vets should look and feel like, does not feel or look like you are at the vets, which calms the owner and your pet. So so friendly can not recommend highly enough.
I have recently had my dog Peggy spayed at Amity vets. She had key hole surgery, definitely the way to go. The next day she was back to normal, the hardest thing was keeping her calm and lead walking for 10 days.Lennon the vet was brilliant. After being shown around the practice, I had no hesitation of switching vets. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent care, thank you so much. Wishing you every success.
We visited Amity Vets together with our nervous Labrador Samba and, Tanzie our cat. We were very impressed with the way Amity clinic put our pets at ease and, the treatment of both. The treatment is still on going. The staff are very efficient and caring. The well thought out layout of the actual Clinic, Colour scheme, Consulting rooms, was a complete surprise.Give Amity Vets a try, it's a brand new experience.
Recently registered with amity vets after being approached at decoy park by Lennon who was handing out flyers to dog walkers, a great idea I thought.. On our first visit with Jack, our Staffie, we were shown around back of house, surgery area, confinement area and was very happy with all of it. Personal and professional approaches were outstanding and a thorough check was given to our boy. The environment was relaxing and Jack was settled quickly. Advice on nutrition for him was excellent from a very knowledgable vet. Overall, a lovely atmosphere and experience for us and Jack! Thoroughly recommend.
